Erling Haaland is on fire! the Manchester City striker has now reached 30 goals in all competitions this season, as Norway is tantalizingly close to qualifying for the World Cup for the first time in 28 years since 1998. Haaland scored twice in Norway’s 4-1 win over Estonia, on Thursday, November 13, he now has 10 goals in his last 3 games for Norway, bringing his international tally to 53 goals in 47 appearances. Norway is sitting top of group I in European qualifiers, winning 7 out of 7 and having huge goal difference (scoring 33, and conceding just 4).

Norway’s next match will be against second place Italy on Sunday, November 16, were a draw should be able to seal their qualification. Italy are currently on 18 points winning 6 out of 7, there only loss was against Haaland’s Norway who thrashed them 3 – 0 on June 6 this year on matchday. Italy would need to beat Norway 9 – 0 to be able to cause an upset and qualify instead, something that is deemed impossible at the moment against this current brilliant Norwegians.

Haaland’s incredible performances have been instrumental in Norway’s resurgence, and fans are eagerly watching his every move. He and his teammates were seen celebrating wildly in the dressing room after the Estonia game as they are now sure to be on the plane heading to next summer’s World cup.
