SPORTS: EPL: CHELSEA LEGEND EDEN HAZARD INCLUDED IN PREMIER LEAGUE HALL OF FAME.

Eden Hazard has been officially inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame, recognized for his exceptional skills and contributions to the league during his time with Chelsea. He joins an elite group of football legends, becoming the 26th player to receive this honor.


The Belgian joined Chelsea from Lille as a 21-year old in 2012 summer making 245 Premier League appearances scoring 85 goals and providing 54 assists. Hazard’s achievements includes winning two Premier League titles titles with Chelsea in 2014-15 and 2016-17.

His brilliant Individual Accolades includes:
PFA young player of the season in 2013-14, Premier League Player of the Season for 2014-15 season, PFA Players’ Player of the Year in 2015, Premier League playmaker of the season in 2018-19, Chelsea Player of the Year in 2013-14, 2014-15, 2016-17 and 2018-19, he was also included in the PFA Premier League team of the year in 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2016-17.


Eden Hazard was also the player with most man of the match award in the Premier League winning 62 awards in 222 starts before Tottenham’s Harry Kane surpassed the record during the 2022-23 Premier League.

Hazard expressed his gratitude and humility, stating, “It means a lot to join the Premier League Hall of Fame. I’m very proud to join this group of players and I think we can make a good squad”. His former boss at Chelsea Jose Mourinho also praised the footballer for achieving such feat.
Chelsea now has six inductees in the Premier League hall of fame since its introduction in 2020, Goalkeeper Petr Cech, Striker Didier Drogba, Centre back John Terry, Left back Ashley Cole, Midfielder Frank Lampard and now Eden Hazard.
