The Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited and High chief of the Ijaw nation, Tompolo has denied issuing a 21-day ultimatum to the Federal Government over the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
“High Chief Ekpemupolo has nothing to do with the issue of Nnamdi Kanu. It is clearly the handwork of Tompolo’s enemies, who are out there to discredit and pull him down because of his stand against illegal crude oil activities in the Niger Delta region, We wish to state unequivocally and unambiguously that Tompolo did not author the said publication, It is clearly the handiwork of Tompolo’s enemies, who are out there to discredit and pull him down because of his stand against illegal crude oil activities in the Niger Delta region.
This set of people has failed and will continue to fail because he will not relent in carrying out his duty to totally eradicate illegal oil activities in the region”. A statement signed by Paul Bebenimibo, Tompolo’s media consultant, on Sunday October 26 reads.
Tompolo reaffirmed his loyalty to President Bola Tinubu’s administration and expressed his support for the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He also endorsed President Tinubu for a second term.
The denial comes amid reports circulating on social media claiming that Tompolo issued the ultimatum, which Tompolo’s team attributes to enemies seeking to discredit him due to his stance against illegal crude oil activities in the Niger Delta region.
Nnamdi Kanu is currently standing trial for declaring himself leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra and trying to cause a secession.
