Seplat Energy JV recently disbursed ₦18 million in prizes to secondary school students in Edo and Delta States through its PEARLs Quiz competition that was contested by schools from both states in Asaba, on Saturday, October 25. The initiative aims to promote academic excellence and leadership development among students
Pioneer Education Centre, Edo received a sum of ₦10 million for emerging top in the quiz competition, Notre Dame College, Uzoro, Delta finished second claiming ₦5 million while Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College, Benin bagged ₦3 million for securing third place.
Executive Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori thanked Seplat for organising such quiz and empowering education.

For years, this initiative has provided a vibrant platform for students to demonstrate intellect, confidence and character while promoting the culture of academic excellence.” Ms Orode Udughan, the Delta State Commissioner for Humanitarian affairs, Community Support Service and Girl Child Development, who represented Governor Sheriff Oborevwori expressed gratitude.
The PEARLs Quiz program, launched in 2012, has become a cornerstone of Seplat’s social investment efforts, providing a platform for students to showcase their intellect, discipline, and innovation. The program also features a STEAM Innovation Challenge, where students showcase their creative and technological projects.
