The Delta State Police Command has arrested four suspected cultists for initiating a 5-year-old boy into their group in Sapele, Delta State. The suspects were arrested after a disturbing video of the initiation ritual surfaced on social media, showing the child being blindfolded and forced to drink alcohol while the suspects chanted initiation words.
The police spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, described the act as “evil” and stated that the suspects would face further investigation and possible prosecution.
“These suspects have been arrested for the evil they did to this innocent child.” He tweeted.
The suspects’ names are Rasheed Atanda, 31, Charles Oyowe, 36, Rewane Ogbitse, 49, and Shedrack Oloko, 44, from various Delta communities.
The police are continuing their investigation, and the suspects will face prosecution.
