A suspected fake lawyer, U. T. Oghenetejiri, was arrested at the Orhuwhorun Magistrates’ Court in Delta State while attempting to represent a client in a criminal matter.
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Udu Branch, apprehended him after noticing inconsistencies in his legal arguments and inability to provide verifiable details about his law school background.
Oghenetejiri fled the courtroom when questioned by the magistrate but was chased and caught by NBA members and court staff in the Orhuwhorun market.
Forged documents, including deeds of transfer, a counterfeit NBA stamp and seal, and other legal paraphernalia, were recovered from him.

Checks confirmed that Oghenetejiri never attended law school and is not enrolled in the roll of legal practitioners maintained by the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Oghenetejiri is currently being held at the Ovwian Police Station, pending arraignment.
