Sean “Diddy” Combs is begging for mercy ahead of his sentencing. He’s written a heartfelt letter to Judge Arun Subramanian, apologizing profusely for his past actions and asking for leniency. Diddy was found guilty of prostitution-related counts, specifically transportation to engage in prostitution, and faces up to two decades in prison.
In his letter, Diddy expressed remorse for physically assaulting his former girlfriend, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, and acknowledged the pain he’s caused. He attributed his behavior to drug use, excess, and selfishness.
“I want to thank you for giving me the chance to speak for myself, One of the hardest things I’ve had to handle was having to be quiet and not being able to express how sorry I am for my actions. I first want to personally apologize to ex Cassie Ventura, for any harm I have caused her emotionally or physically.
Domestic violence will always be a heavy burden that I will have to forever carry, My actions were disgusting, shameful and sick. I was sick, sick from the drugs, I was out of control, I needed help and I didn’t get the help, and I cannot make no excuse.” Combs said in court.
Diddy described the harsh conditions at the Brooklyn federal jail, where he’s been held with 25 other inmates in a room without windows and clean air. He claims to have been “reborn” after spending over a year in prison.
Prosecutors are pushing for an 11-year jail term, while Diddy’s lawyers argue that the year he’s already spent in prison is enough punishment. His defense team is seeking release before the end of 2025.
