The Neo Black Movement (NBM) of Africa recently renovated a school and donated learning materials to pupils in Agbowhiame community, Ughelli South local government Delta State. A block of six classrooms was renovated at Agbowhiame Primary School, complete with new roofs, ceilings, flooring, and painting. Additionally, all windows and doors were replaced.
The organization donated 125 school desks, 150 school uniforms, and 500 notebooks
The community expressed gratitude and joy, with the President-General of Agbowhiame Community, Mr. Emmanuel Osieta, stating that the renovation ignited hope, ambition, and a sense of belonging among pupils.
Delta State Chairman Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Hon. Samuel Mariere, commended NBM for keying into Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s RENEWED HOPE FOR MORE Agenda, aimed at improving education and infrastructure across Delta State.
The Head Teacher of the school, Mr. Jacob Emakpor, appealed for further support, including fencing the compound, providing potable water, and recruiting more teachers. SUBEB officials assured that these requests would be considered to complement NBM’s efforts.
