The Nigerian Army’s Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI, has successfully neutralized eight Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists in Borno State.
The operation occurred on Monday near Garin Giwa along the Baga-Cross Kauwa Main Supply Route, where the terrorists attempted to disrupt military activities but met stiff resistance from the troops.
Eight ISWAP fighters were killed, including Two Munzirs, Modu Dogo Munzir of Dogon Chukun and an unidentified Munzir and one Qaid, Abu Aisha Qaid of Tumbun Mota
14 motorcycles abandoned by fleeing terrorists were recovered by the Hadin Kai troops, further degrading their logistics and mobility in the region. Several terrorists sustained gunshot wounds, particularly those who fled on foot
The Theatre Command remains resolute in its determination to rid the North East of terrorism and restore peace to affected communities.
The military high command has commended the troops for their feat, urging them to sustain their impressive battle performance.
