ENTERTAINMENT: MERCY CHINWO’S HUSBAND CELEBRATES HER 200 MILLION STREAMS ON SPOTIFY.

Gospel Artiste Mercy Chinwo’s husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, recently celebrated her milestone of surpassing 200 million streams on Spotify. He took to Instagram to share his pride and attributed her success to her obedience to God’s will.

According to Pastor Blessed, after winning Nigerian Idol in 2012, Mercy had opportunities to pursue a secular music career but chose to wait on God’s direction, which led to a four-year wait before her breakthrough.

Pastor Blessed emphasized that Mercy’s decision to prioritize her faith and gospel music over secular fame was crucial to her success.

After winning Nigerian Idol, Mercy waited four years for her breakthrough, a period that might have seemed like a delay but ultimately wasn’t wasted.

“I got tagged on a post about @mercychinwo crossing 200M streams on Spotify. Honestly, I wanted to scroll past, but I felt led to share this.

“In 2012, when she won Nigerian Idol, she had every chance to go secular. The fame was right there. But she chose obedience over compromise, and that decision cost her 4 years of waiting. It looked like a delay, but it wasn’t wasted. The Husband wrote.

Today, we see the reward of that obedience. Scripture says: “Don’t get tired of doing good, at the right time you’ll reap a harvest if you don’t give up” (Galatians 6:9). Truly, “those who honor Me, I will honor” (1 Samuel 2:30). And we can boldly say, “overwhelming victory is ours through Christ” (Romans 8:37). He added.

Mercy’s latest album, “In His Will,” reflects her journey and decision to put purpose before popularity. Pastor Blessed encouraged fans to keep streaming and let the songs bless them.

“Stay focused. Stay courageous. Choosing God may look like a delay, but it will never be wasted.” He also quoted scriptures, including Galatians 6:9, “Don’t get tired of doing good, at the right time you’ll reap a harvest if you don’t give up,” and Romans 8:37, “Overwhelming victory is ours through Christ”.
