ENTERTAINMENT: LEGENDARY ACTOR ROBERT REDFORD PASSES AWAY AT 89.

Robert Redford, the iconic Hollywood actor known for his roles in “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” and “The Sting,” has passed away at the age of 89. According to reports, he died peacefully while sleeping in the highlands outside of Provo surrounded by his loved ones.


“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our founder and friend Robert Redford, Bob’s vision of a space and a platform for independent voices launched a movement that, over four decades later, has inspired generations of artists and redefined cinema in the U.S. and around the world.” Sundace Institution an Organization founded by Redford said in a statement.


Redford’s big-screen debut was in 1967 with the romantic comedy “Barefoot in the Park” alongside Jane Fonda.


He starred in iconic movies like “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” (1969) and “The Sting” (1973), both co-starring Paul Newman.


Redford received an Academy Honorary Award in 2002 for his work as an actor, director, and producer.
He founded the Sundance Film Festival, Sundance Institute, and Sundance Channel, promoting independent cinema.

Robert Redford’s Net Worth is estimated to be around $200 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
Redford had announced his retirement from acting in 2018, after the release of his last movie, “The Old Man and the Gun”.
