Liverpool and Hungarian midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai’s stunning free-kick against Arsenal has been voted the Premier League’s Goal of the Month for August. Szoboszlai scored a match-winning free-kick in the 83rd minute from over 30 yards out at the Kop end, securing a 1-0 win for Liverpool at Anfield.
The goal won the award through a fan vote, collecting almost 70% of the votes, beating other impressive goals from Rio Ngumoha, Hugo Ekitike, Mohamed Salah, and Federico Chiesa.
Szoboszlai became the first Hungarian player to win a Premier League monthly award, marking a significant milestone in his career.
The goal was part of Liverpool’s perfect start to the season, with wins over Arsenal, Bournemouth, and Newcastle United, making them the only unbeaten team in the Premier League so far.
