NEWS: CHARLIE KIRK’S KILLER IDENTIFIED AS TYLER ROBINSON.

Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old Utah local, has been identified as the suspect in the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025.

Robinson was arrested after a nationwide manhunt, thanks to tips from his close contacts, including his father and a minister connected to law enforcement. The FBI released photos and videos of Robinson trying to escape the campus after the shooting.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox said at a press conference on Friday morning that investigators arrested and identified Robinson after analyzing surveillance footage, interviewing Robinson’s family members and reviewing online messages between Robinson and his roommate
We got him,” Cox said, standing with FBI Director Kash Patel and other law enforcement officials.

Investigators collected a high-powered bolt-action rifle, palm print, footprint, and forearm imprint at the scene, which helped confirm Robinson’s connection to the crime.

Robinson is currently in custody, and Utah Governor Spencer Cox has confirmed that the state will pursue the death penalty if he’s convicted. President Donald Trump also expressed his hope that Robinson receives the maximum penalty.

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities examining whether the shooting was part of a broader network or plot. However, Trump noted that it appears to be an isolated incident.

The assassination of Charlie Kirk has drawn nationwide attention, prompting vigils and widespread commentary. A $100,000 reward was offered for information leading to the suspect’s arrest.
