Ibifubara, a former Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, recently shared her thoughts on the show’s eviction process, calling it “shocking” and “unexpected”.
She believes the evictions have been targeting strong, core housemates, disrupting the dynamics of the game. Ibifubara was evicted in the first week alongside Danboskid, and she thinks their exits were surprising, especially given their popularity among fans.
Some of the notable evictions she mentioned include Kayikunmi a housemate who was part of a popular “ship” with Isabella, her eviction was unexpected and altered the show’s dynamics.
Gigi and Victory whose evictions were also surprising, with Victory’s removal cutting short a developing storyline with Sultana and Danboskid who was the show fan favorite known for his bold personality, his eviction sparked widespread reactions on social media.
I feel like the way the evictions have been, have been causing the house to, it’s almost like the peak has existed. Yeah. Because if it was a thing where there was like people that weren’t a core of the house. Yeah, there’s some people that shouldn’t be in the house right now.
Obviously, but like, if it was less people that were core of the house living first, like, I feel like, okay, something happened. But this one is unexpected. When Gigi and Victory came out, I didn’t expect it. So I didn’t expect it.So the next week, you’re removing somebody that like people didn’t expect, like, Kayikunmi, that’s also in the ship.
So at some point, there’s even a running joke that a ship is not saving you this season. Because you could go out like I’m saying this, these are the major ships like Zita and Danboskid were major ship in the house, like something that all of us saw, you know, very fast and Kayikunmi and Isabella were major ships in the house. And it’s just like if these people can go and Victory and Gigi were not just a ship but like a chaos, that surrounded them with other people. So it’s like they’ve broken down a storyline for Sultana even.” She said in a recent podcast.
Ibifubara’s comments suggest that the evictions have been unpredictable and have changed the trajectory of the show. The eviction process is determined by public votes, with fans rallying to save their favorite housemates.
