Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commended the Cherubim and Seraphim Church for a century of faith and service to humanity.
Speaking at the church’s centenary celebration held at Tafawa Balewa Square on Tuesday in Lagos State, the governor, represented by his Chief of Staff, Tayo Ayinde, described the church as a vital partner in nation-building, TVC reports.
It is a privilege for me to be here with you, as you mark a remarkable milestone, a hundred years of faith, service and the impact of the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraph.
“For a centenary, this great order has been more than just a spiritual decision, it has been a reliable ally in transforming lives and strengthening our communities,” Sanwo-Olu added.
Sanwo-Olu congratulated the leaders and members of the church, expressing hope that the next centenary celebration would be filled with “abundant grace, impact and divine purpose.”
Earlier, the Iya Aladura General of Cherubim and Seraphim, Oluwaseye Yomi-Sholoye, urged the church to prioritise the education and development of young people, describing them as the future of Nigeria.
