NEWS:SAM.GEORGE(COMMUNICATIONS MINISTER GHANA) HAS SWIFTLY TOLD MULTI CHOICE,DSTV TO BE PRECISE FOR A 30% REDUCTION IN SUBSCRIPTION PRICE.

‎Recently he has been trending online over the high cost of the DSTV subscription,he called the multi choice Ghana for a 30% reduction over the high cost of it subscription or he will proceed the effect of the Dstv to be shutdown all over Ghana….


‎Just after he made that statement the multi choice sent a letter to the minister of communications Ghana,sam George which I state “WE HAVE NOTED THE STATEMENT MADE BY THE MINISTER OF COMMUNICATION AND TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION HON.

‎WE CONTINUE TO ENGAGE WITH THE MINISTER IN A BID TO FIND AN AMICABLE SOLUTIONS THAT IS BENEFICIAL TO ALL INVOLVED BUT DOES NOT JEOPARDIZE THE VIABILITY OF THE DSTV SERVICE .


‎WE WILL FULLY PARTICIPATE IN THE ESTABLISHED WORKING COMMITTEE.HOWRVER,WE WISH TO CLARIFY THAT MULTI CHOICE GROUP HAS NOT AGREED TO A REDUCTION”.

‎The minister who has responded to the message via his X handle stated that “LET ME BE CLEAR,I HAVE NO INTENTIONS TO CONTINUE TO TOLERATE THE DISRESPECT TO GHANIANS BY DSTV.


‎IF MULTI CHOICE IS NOT INTERESTED AS THEY CLAIM IN THEIR LAST STATEMENT,IN DISCUSSING A REDUCTION AS THEY HAD INDICATED TO ME,WE WOULD PROCEED THE SHUTDOWN TOMORROW AS INDICATED.

‎DSTV INDICATED THEIR WILLINGNESS TO ENGAGE THE MINISTRY ON ITS CONCERNED ON PRICING AND PRAYED US TO STAY OUR ENFORCEMENT ACTION.IF THEY HAD CHANGED THEIR POSITION,THEN WE WILL SIMPLY EMPLOY THE REGULATORY ACTIONS.


‎NO COMPANY IS ABOVE THE LAW.WHEN MULTI CHOICE IS READY TO DISCUSS PRICE REDUCTION,THEY CAN COME TO THE NEGOTIABLE TABLE,UNTIL THEN THERE IS NOTHING FOR US TO MEET OVER.THE NCAGHANA WOULD CARRY ENFORCEMENT.


‎GHANA IS OPEN FOR THAT RESPECT OUR LAWS AND INSTITUTIONS”.
