Daniel Levy has stepped down as Tottenham Hotspur’s executive chairman after nearly 25 years in the role. Levy, 63, was the longest-serving chairman in the Premier League and oversaw significant transformations at the club, including the move to the Tottenham, construction of the new stadium, and consistent investment in top players and managers .
Under him,Tottenham won the 2008 League Cup and the 2024 Europa League, ending a 17-year trophy drought the club also moved from White Hart Lane to the £1bn state-of-the-art Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2019.
Levy transformed Spurs into a global heavyweight competing at the highest level, with the club boasting the ninth-highest revenue in world football.

Levy was known for his ruthless firing of managers, with 13 managers coming and going during his tenure, including Jose Mourinho, Antonio Conte, and Ange Postecoglou.
“We have built this club into a global heavyweight competing at the highest level. More than that, we have built a community.
“I was lucky enough to work with some of the greatest people in this sport, from the team at Lilywhite House and Hotspur Way to all the players and managers over the years.
“I wish to thank all the fans that have supported me over the years. It hasn’t always been an easy journey but significant progress has been made. I will continue to support this club passionately.” Daniel Levy said.
Peter Charrington has taken over as non-executive chairman, thanking Levy and his family for their commitment and loyalty to the club.
The club has confirmed that there will be no changes to the ownership or shareholder structure following Levy’s departure. “Tottenham Hotspur has been transformed over the last quarter of a century.
“It has played in European competitions in the last 18 of 20 seasons, becoming one of the world’s most recognised football clubs, consistently investing in its academy, players and facilities, including a new, world-class stadium and state-of-the-art training centre.
“The club has also competed regularly at the highest level, enjoying a number of fantastic on-field successes, including the recent Europa League cup win.” The club said during the announcement of Levy’s departure.
