Asisat Oshoala has joined Al Hilal on a two-year deal from Bay FC. Oshoala completed her move to Al Hilal after successfully undergoing medical tests in Riyadh.
The terms of the agreement weren’t disclosed, but she’s expected to play a key role in the Saudi Women’s Premier League.
Oshoala signed a two-year contract with Al Hilal, which will keep her at the club until 2027.
Before joining Bay FC, Oshoala had a trophy-laden spell with FC Barcelona Femeni, winning multiple league titles and Champions League honors.
She’s also played for Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chinese side Dalian Quanjian. She has also played 61 matches and scored 37 goals for the Super Falcons of Nigeria helping them win the women’s CAF AFCON 4 times (2014, 2016, 2018, 2024).
One of the most celebrated African female footballers in the African continent, Oshoala has won the most African women’s footballer of the year winning the prestigious award a record 6 times.
Oshoala’s arrival is expected to boost Al Hilal’s competitive edge both locally and on the continental stage. She’ll join her Super Falcons teammates Ashleigh Plumptre and Francisca Ordega in Saudi Arabia.
The 2025/26 season of the Saudi Women’s Premier League is set to start on September 12, and Oshoala is likely to feature prominently for Al Hilal.
In a statement, Oshoala expressed her excitement to create memories with the club, saying “Let’s have fun and create memories together”.
