NEWS: 21 YEAR OLD WOMAN STABS PARTNER TO DEATH IN DELTA STATE.

A 21-year-old woman has been arrested by the Delta State Police Command for allegedly stabbing her partner a 34 – year – old man to death during a domestic dispute at Jakpa Road, Effurun, in the Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

The couple had been cohabiting for four years and had two children together. According to the police, the altercation began when the deceased attempted to end their relationship, leading to a quarrel that turned violent.

The suspect claimed her partner was beating her with a cane and smashed her head on the ground, prompting her to rush to the kitchen to get a knife.


She stabbed him in the chest when he advanced towards her, despite warning him to stay away.
The suspect will be charged with murder, according to the police spokesperson, Bright Edafe. “They were not legally married but had been cohabiting.

“She has two children for him. Along the line, disagreements arose which eventually led to a fight.

“During the altercation, she used a weapon to stab the man in the chest, close to the heart, and the man bled to death.” The police public relations officer (PRO) said.


The police have taken her into custody, and the investigation is ongoing. The case highlights the need for effective conflict resolution mechanisms and support systems for couples in domestic relationships.
