North London outfits Tottenham Hotspurs are now close to completing the deal for RB Leipzig’s midfielder Xavi Simons despite fellow London’s Chelsea interest in the 22 year old Dutchman. Both Leipzig and Tottenham are now said to agree £52m deal and personal terms have also been agreed. Tottenham have had a tough time this summer transfer window losing out Eberechi Eze to Arsenal, a failed transfer bill for Manchester city’s Savinho, and a failed bill for Nottingham forest’s Morgan Gibbs – White but they were able to secure the services of Muhammed Kudus from West Ham. The club also said a good bye to Heung Min Son after his 10 year stay at the club came to an end. Xavi Simons deal has come as a big bargain to Spurs and a big blow to Chelsea who have been on the players radar for the past few weeks.
