Afrobeats superstar Wizkid unveiled his powerful new documentary, Wizkid: Long Live Lagos, at the Tribeca Film Festival’s Spotlight+ series this week, captivating audiences with an intimate portrayal that celebrates his roots and rise to global fame.
Directed by Karam Gill and produced alongside Daniel Malikyar, the 83‑minute film tracks Wizkid’s journey from the streets of Lagos to the grandeur of London’s Tottenham Stadium.
Through raw behind‑the‑scenes moments, electrifying live performances, and thoughtful commentary, the documentary underscores how his dedication and artistry have reshaped perceptions of African music worldwide.
