Nigerian Afrobeat singer and songwriter, Michael Adebayo Olayinka, known professionally as Ruger has disclosed that it has been his dream as a child to perform on the same stage with Sarkodie.
The “Asiwaju” hitmaker made this pronouncement while performing at the Rapperholic concert yesterday, December 25th, at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
“I grew up listening to Sarkodie, and it’s been my dream to be on the same stage with him. I’m happy, and I’m grateful to God that I’m on the same stage with him,” he said.
He also described the “No Sir” hitmaker as a legend, thanked the rapper for giving him the opportunity and also called on Ghanaians to continue supporting Sarkodie.
Prior to the concert, Sarkodie had made hints that he might not be performing “Till We Die,” his song with Ruger, by himself. This increased anticipation for Ruger’s performance at Rapperholic.
This is the 11th year of Sarkodie’s Rapperholic concert. This year featured performances from artistes such as Victony, Patoranking, Beeztrap KOTM, Oseikrom Sikanii, and King Paluta.
